A mobile AR app which captures 2D depictions of a molecular structure and displays a 3D model corresponding to the same molecule. Chemistry students are then be able to view and manipulate the 3D model in order to gain a deeper understanding of the molecule and its structural components. My role was to iterate on the first prototype into a functional application.
Chemistry textbooks often use a Valence Shell Electron Pair Repulsion (VESPR) theory to determine the shape of molecular structures. Typically, these structures are represented in two dimensions on a printed page of a given textbook.
ARMS was developed in Unity using Wikitude for AR integration.
